This is the one piece of advice we give every single client after their love ritual is done, and it is also the one people struggle with the most. Stop contacting the person. No texts, no calls, no "just checking in" messages.
We know it sounds backwards. You did the ritual because you want them back, so why go quiet now? Here is why.
Absence is what makes them miss you
When someone is upset with you or the two of you have had problems, their head is full of the bad stuff: the arguments, the disappointment, whatever went wrong. Giving them space lets all of that cool down. With you gone, they start thinking about you and remembering the good times, and slowly they begin to reconsider.
That longing is exactly what the ritual needs. The energy of a love ritual is believed to work on the person's feelings towards you, and it works best when they are already thinking about you and missing you.
Chasing them does the opposite
If the person is annoyed with you and you keep messaging, calling or turning up, they are not going to miss you. They are going to feel pressured, then annoyed, and eventually resentful. Every message reminds them why they wanted distance in the first place. You end up pushing against the ritual instead of letting it work, and then there is really no point doing a ritual at all.
What "no contact" actually means
- No texts, calls or voice notes, even "harmless" ones like "hope you are ok".
- No asking mutual friends to pass messages or report back on them.
- No liking, commenting or reacting to their posts and stories.
- No showing up at places where you know they will be.
The goal is simple. Let them feel your absence.
The hardest part is controlling your emotions
We get it. When you miss someone that badly, going quiet feels like torture. Some clients get kan jiong. They cannot control their emotions, they miss the person too much or get paranoid that they are losing them, and they end up spamming messages. In our experience these are usually the cases that do not work out. The ritual was done properly, but the constant contact kept pushing the person further away.
If you feel the urge to text them, text us instead. We would rather hear you vent than watch you undo your own ritual.
The clients who follow this do the best
After years of doing this, the pattern is very clear. When our clients really follow no contact, the success rate is very, very high. Give the ritual the space it needs to work, and give the person the space they need to miss you.
