She is traditionally described as a being who appears human from the waist up, with the lower body of a serpent—symbolizing seduction, power, hidden wealth, and primal feminine energy.

Within Indonesian spiritual culture, Nyi Blorong is regarded as one of the most prominent and feared goddesses, and her name is still spoken with great reverence today.
