Genuine white Nagamani cobra pearl, set with a King Centipede Pearl in a gold plated sterling silver ring. White is the rarer of the two colours by a wide margin. Most authentic specimens that surface are black.

ABOUT NAGAMANI :

Nagamani, or Cobra Pearl, is counted among the rarest Mustika stones in Southeast Asian tradition. Its origins sit in legend, but within spiritual communities the working explanation is a natural biological process, similar to the way a cyst, a bezoar or a pearl forms. That is also why every specimen differs in size, colour and shape, while sharing the same distinctive internal patterning.

Genuine stones come from particular parts of Java in Indonesia, where mystical objects have long been sought and worked with. The Indonesian term Mustika itself refers to objects believed to materialise into the physical world through the earth, trees, plants, animals or insects, and Nagamani is the most sought after of them.

Hindu and Buddhist cosmology places the stone in Naga Loka, the hidden realm of the Vasuki serpent race, described as guardians of the earth's concealed wealth. Thai Buddhist tradition carries the Naga too, which is why serpents guard so many temple entrances. Tantra Veda counts five great mystic stones and treats Nagamani as the only one of the five obtainable at all.

HOW TO TELL A REAL NAGAMANI FROM A FAKE

Before you buy from anyone, us included, here is how to check.

Genuine Nagamani carries a fine snake scale pattern visible when held under light. It is irregular, it sits inside the stone, and it cannot be manufactured. Look closely at our photographs and you will see it.

Almost every fake is a plain shiny stone, very often cheap onyx, polished smooth and sold under the name. Under light it shows nothing, because there is nothing there to show. A stone that reads uniformly glossy is almost certainly a substitute.

Every stone we carry is examined and selected individually. You will not find these exact specimens anywhere else.

The same white stone as a sterling silver pendant, and in a takrut casing with gold plated caps for carrying. Black Nagamani is available in all three formats and is the more available of the two colours.

This item contains no spirits, jinn, khodam or entities. It is a traditional Mustika gemstone, sold as a spiritual collectible on the basis of belief and folklore. Nothing above is a promise of any specific outcome.

One clarification, since it comes up often. This is not the mythical glowing Nagamani claimed elsewhere online. That does not exist.
